It looks good on both the rs and ws of the work. Some things in knitting are complicated, and some things are easy. I personally feel it looks quite elegant and it’s not even all that hard to do.
There are no buttonholes on the sweater, but i would like to add a loop on one side at the top to attach a button so the sweater will stay together at the top.
