This input feeds the internal power amp of the hot rod deluxe, which in turn powers the internal speaker and external speaker jack. No matter which guitar power amp you ultimately choose, you can bet that any one of these models are going to blow your sound expectations out of the water.
Calculate the amount of amps your amplifier will draw off the power supply with the following equation:
Guitar amp power cable. The guitar and strings are connected through the cable to the amp chassis ground. If the amp begins to operate, then the problem could be dirty contacts in one of the jacks. The amp is completely dead if the amp is completely silent (no speaker hum or hiss at all) then the problem can be just about anywhere in the amp but you should suspect a bad tube, blown fuse or the power supply in that order.
I’m sure you’re well aware that there are a few different types of rock guitar amps out there right. Your guitar cable is a critical link in your signal chain. Take any guitar cable (short effects jumpers work best) and “jump” the loop—plug one end into the send jack and one into the return jack.
Your body is actually an antenna for noise and a source of noise and when you touch something on the guitar that's grounded you ground your body and channel that noise to ground. The hot rod deluxe’s owner’s manual clearly describes how to use the amp’s. Just plug your instrument into the input and connect the output to a speaker or cab with a load between 8 and 16 ohms.
Next up is the power amp. Spark is a powerhouse 40 watt combo that packs some serious thunder. Lost my iec power cable for my old soldano 100w amp.
Spray a bit of electronic contact cleaner into each jack (i prefer with lubricant, if possible). This is used to transfer the unbalanced audio signal from your guitar to the amp. The power amp input connection is intended to receive signal from an effects processor or the preamp output from another amplifier.
Is an 18g /10 amp wire good enough or do i need to go to a 15 amp wire for a 6ft cable ? The 44 magnum looks like a typical ehx stompbox, but it is a true power amp made to react in basically the same way as a more conventional guitar amp. Thus far, we’ve looked at the preamp and fx loop sections of an electric guitar amp.
Try a new rectifier tube. Try plugging in a guitar cable, turn up all the amp's volume, gain and master volume controls up a little and touch the tip of the guitar.
